ANNOUNCEMENTS, CROCKER CHRISTIAN CHURCH:

Attendance September 15: Worship: 192 Sunday School: 68

Kingdom Kids, our children’s ministry, is held after the communion service, just before the morning message. Kingdom Kids do not meet on the first Sunday of the month in order for families to worship together. Children in kindergarten and first grade meet downstairs for service. Children in grades 2-5 meet in room 200 upstairs. The children’s services are for all children grades K-5.

Everyone is invited to join us for our Wednesday night meals, each week before Bible study. The meals are served from 5:30-6:15. The September 18th meal is beef and chicken enchiladas, salad and dessert.

September 25th’s Wednesday meal is Soup Night. If you can bring a crock pot of soup for the meal (we need 4), please sign the list in the church foyer.

If you can cook a meal, provide dessert or help with clean up on any Wednesday night, please see one of the meal coordinators: Ricky and Britney Rembold, Amanda Boberg or Claudia Herd, There are sign up sheets in the foyer with details on how to help, with specific information about what is needed for each week. Thank you for helping to provide meals on Wednesday nights during the school year.

Terry’s current sermon series is entitled “The Bible Doesn’t Say That…Does it?” If you have a phrase that you have always thought was in the Bible but you can’t find it, or if you just aren’t sure it is in the Bible, please write it on the back of you tear off or drop a note in the box on Terry’s office door.

September Food Pantry Items: Canned Fruit

Our church float received a third place award in the Railroad Days celebration. Thanks to everyone who worked on it or rode on it in the parade.

We are looking for someone to be in charge of decorating the church auditorium. We have several people who are willing to help, but we need someone to be in charge. If you would like to help in this way, please contact the church office.

This month’s leadership meeting is on September 30, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

The church is invited to the Peterson’s annual Hobo Dinner on Saturday, October 12. The meal begins at 5 p.m., but feel free to come earlier in the afternoon and spend time enjoying the farm. Bring your lawn chairs and join us for a great evening. Hobo stew and meat will be provided. Please bring sides and desserts. Save the date! More updates will come as the date approaches.

October is Faith Promise (missions emphasis) month. Our guest speakers are Grant Roth from the Christian Campus House in UCM in Warrensburg on October 13 and Doug Gamble from Good News Productions (date to be determined). Please be in prayer for what you would like to contribute to missions in 2025. Our mission tally will be totaled on October27, followed by our celebration carry-in dinner.

Arizona Mission Trip Meeting: Have you ever thought about going on a mission trip but never really pursued the idea? We invite anyone interested in going to San Carlos, Arizona to work with the Apache people to join us for a lunch meeting on October 20, immediately following our morning service. We will talk about dates, expectations, and try to answer any questions you may have. The trip is open to adults and high school students. Please sign up so we will know how much food to prepare.

If you are a veteran or are currently serving in the military and would like to be included in our Veterans Day Slide Show, pleae provide a photograph for inclusion in the presentation. You may send it online to office@crockercc.com or provide a photograph to the church.

We have purchased some nativity pieces that need to be touched up. A couple of them need to have the paint touched up or to be repainted, while some need a little patch work done and then to be repainted. We want to have them ready by Christmas. Wee Penny Peterson to help.

Secret Sisters Save the Date: Mark your calendars for December 8th. That will be our “Reveal” get-together at Christmas time. Please encourage your secret sister with prayers, cards and small gifts until then. Let your secret sister know that she is loved. More details about the December 8th party will come later.

“Journey to Bethlehem” News:

Our annual presentation of the “Journey to Bethlehem” is scheduled for December 13-14.

From now until December, we will have a “Journey to Bethlehem” work day every Wednesday, beginning at 10:15 a.m. If you can help, just join us at 10:15, or you can talk to Penny Peterson, Diane Foster, Jan York or Karen Burnett.

We are also still looking for a third golf cart for use in the “Journey” for those who are unable to walk through through the entire program.

If you are interested in giving to the church electronically rather than with cash or checks, please see Rick Burnett or see someone in the church office for assistance.

If you would like to receive notifications of prayer requests or reminders of upcoming events, please put your cell phone number on the back of the tear off sheet on the bulletin and turn it in. We will gladly add you to our “remind” list. Remind does not accept land lines.

Please be in prayer for all of those listed on the prayer list on the back of our weekly bulletin.
